Wow that’s a long name for a polish. From here on out Tonight’s Going To Be a Good Night will be TGBGN…Pbbbhht. But Glowstick is first, because I promised it I wouldn’t steal its thunder by showing the combo first. These are both from the Wet n Wild Fergie Collection I found at Walgreens. I wasn’t entirely impressed with all of them but I got 3…here’s 2 together.
Before I say anything about these polishes individually I wanted to mention the brush that comes with it. A few other companies are doing this now. A wide round tip brush. I personally love it. I’ve heard some people say that in this collection its TOO wide and they hate it. I love it still, and I sure if my nail were any smaller it would drive me nuts also. Sooo if you have cute tiny dainty nail beds, keep that in mind.
WnW Glowstick is 3 coats. Easy to use formula, smooth…but doesn’t dry real fast. And I’m not patient, so this was a little agonizing for me to wait. I like that this isn’t just a plain neon lime green- it has a yellow shimmer to it that is super cool! I’ve been needing more greens, I used to really hate the color but I’m starting to warm up to it a lot lately.
WnW TGBGN is only one coat over the other. I think the coverage it pretty even surprisingly! When saw this I though it was a black polish with gold hex glitters, but it’s obviously clear based small black hex glitter and large gold hex glitters sprinkled throughout. I can see me wearing this glitter over A LOT of other colors….like all of them. I loooove black glitters and don’t have enough of them.
So any thoughts? I’m always open to opinions and debates!
Don’t you hate when you forget to clean your screen on your laptop and you’re sitting there thinking, “What is on her face?! Oh wait…” Let that be a lesson kids don’t surf and eat…. 😛 Haha. Well this next polish is super interesting!
Revlon French Roast 3 coats one top coat, is a creme brown with a glass fleck in it that shows a rainbow of colors. Just look at it! I think the name it very fitting to me it looks like a bag of coffee beans. This is from the Colorstay core line and I was actually going to get a different color until I saw this! I was like…meh…brown…wait…WHHHHHHAAaaAATTTTT?!?!?! O.O This is very smooth and no problemos with it. I will have fun with it more this fall I think. Like I said before- I don’t really go by season much as to what colors I wear- it’s just that there are so many fun neons I need to wear right now I wont be able to try this again until fall haha.
Oh how I loathe and ♥ this polish. So beautiful in the bottle yet so very difficult to deal with! ALSO IT’S A FAKE! As in it’s labeled as “Splish Splash” from the summer 2012 collection but alas its not, I have been fooled.
China Glaze Blue Sparrow looks pretty cool in the bottle but it the biggest pain to apply. I did it out doors so maybe that’s a factor, but it dragged a lot and clumped up and dried out fast. Which is why this looks so bumpy. 3 coats and a top coat very pretty but maybe not worth the hassle. If I do put this on again I will do it indoors and I will update this post! It might make a slight difference- but until then- this is all ya get. -.0
I really hate saying hello or hi to being with. In really life I’m not really like that either I just start talking….usually. So have you ever gone surfing? I wanted to at one point when I lived in Florida growing up but it was more like a desire to just be able to do it without the effort. I’ve changed a lot since I was a child and my teenage years. I’m up for almost any challenge now. I still may try to make an excuse to not start something but unlike when I was younger- I don’t back out of a challenge I’ve already committed to. I guess I’m just not afraid of losing anymore. But yeah- I’d love to try surfing now! Sorry didn’t mean to get all deep on ya…XD cheesy I know. ON TO THE POLISH!
So China Glaze Surfin’ For Boys has so far for me been one of the hardest to capture on my camera. If you love neon corals with a pink shimmer maybe a tiny bit duo(colored? they’re not chromes!), maybe its just a strong shimmer that I’m totally amazed at and at loss for proper description, you will LOVE THIS. It is a must see IRL. I highly recommend it. Good formula, 3 coats plus top coat, they dry satin matte because of their neon nature. The settings on my camera are altered so that the color was true but my flesh looked corpse like. Once I put the pics in the multiple image resizer to watermark and such, some how it made it seem a little bit more red toned then it is! So what looks orangey should be a bit more pink so….neon coral as said before. So I could rave about this for awhile but I wont. Enjoy!
Helllloooooo! Hows your summer been thus far? Mine is going well even though I do less and less every year. Up here in Montana it will be winter before we know it. Anyways, to prolong that, sear your eyeballs with this baby. XD
China Glaze Sun-Kissed is actually quite easy to use for a neon. 3 coats and a top coat because these dry a little satin matte. I didn’t really need any white undies even though China Glaze has put a white polish in with the Summer Neons collection display. I would make it pop more but really…my eyes hurt good enough. Haha. Anyways you can’t tell from these photos really but has subtle but visible stunning shimmer in it. Maybe leaning a little green.
This is just one of 3 I got and probably the easiest to photo graph. I’m trying to hurry up and get all the summer shades out because even though I don’t really care about season when I put on polish, my readers might. I’m hoping to have some time to do some nail art like I’ve been saying over and over again! Sorry! Invader Zim anyone? Just dying to do it.
Oh hi! Ok so, I mentioned before I’m a little bit obsessed with Arizona. That’s where my hubby and I met and fell in love. That’s not the WHOLE reason of course. Anyways, so I knew I had to have Zoya’s Arizona purely based on the name. I know, silly. But its worth it, I don’t have a lot of oranges and this is pretty sweet.
This color really makes me think of orange creamsicles! Yummmyyyy! Zoya Arizona is 3 coats, with no topper. Dries a little darker then what you see and is a little bit of a pain. It really likes to drag and bald. So 3 coats was a must. Still very pretty summery orange!
I don’t have much else to say right except I think I might have to go to the store now and buy some yummies.
Oh hi! So this was my number one most wanted the second I laid my eyes on it. It’s from Zoya’s Summer Beach & Surf collection. Loooooove it!
Aw man what a dream color, I freaking loveitr! I also love that its a very shimmer shade! Zuza is 3 coats, no topper. A little tricky to apply, you really need to make sure coats are dry before adding another. Lately I can’t get enough of these colors.
Oh hi! Walmart had a new Pure Ice display (I’m guessing for summer) that I couldn’t seem to find a name to but was full of cremes and jewel tones. I grabbed the turquoise “Scream!’ and the bronzey-gold “Bite Me!” plus one more…
I don’t have a lot of Pure Ice but I think I’m starting to really like them, being cheapies and all. They have good coverage and dry pretty fast. 2 coats for Scream! and 3 for Bite Me! Plus topcoat. I love this combo and it reminds me of Arizona, which I love, and I’m sure my mother-in-law would agree ;D. She just as (if not MORE) obsessed with AZ as I am. So maybe in the near future I can do a desert sunset cacti mani?
Oh hi! I saw some pre-press released pictures of the OPI Minnie Mouse Vintage collection way back and knew I’d have to have at least one…for Minnie’s sake!! Once I was finally able to see official photo’s and descriptions I knew hearts and a flakie based polish was a must have! So without further ado- Nothin’ Mousie About It.
One coat of Nothin’ Mouse About It over one coat WnW Creme Black. Sally Hansen Insta Dri top coat. Good dry time. I did black because it really makes the purple and yellow/orange flakies pop in this. I’m guessing the base is a super sheer pink that could build up to what the bottle looks like but still will never be opaque. If I try it and my opinion on that changes, I will edit this! But until then I think if you want it to look pink all the way through without having to do 5+ coats, you’re going to have to do a pink base.
Anyways, over all, I love this. The OPI facebook fan page they have a helpful hint to getting the hearts out. Works alright, I feel like sometimes it doesn’t make a difference, but maybe a little easier as you use more.
Oh hi! So when Zoya came out with this years Beach & Surf summer collection my eyes nearly fell out of my head! I was a good girl and waited long enough for what I would call a really good coupon (3 for $15 and free ship). Seriously if you have a twitter account follow them, they totally clue you in when they have something like that going on. So here’s a pink I couldn’t resist. You may have noticed I’ve been doing a lot more pinks lately. I don’t know what it is but I’m totally being drawn to the girly color I once refused to wear haha.
I love that Zoya Kimber (3 coats I think-no top coat) is not just any old creme finish berry “summer” pink. It’s not too purple toned and the gold shimmer in it is just divine! I little more the subtle IRL. I’ve read on other blogs that people have quite a time getting the right top coat to work out with Zoya nail polish, apparently Seche Vite is an absolute no no combo with them. I find that making sure you coats are really dry in between layers and using Sally Hansen insta dri is just fine. I didn’t here but I have before without any problems.
P.S. Sorry about the state of my cuticles in these pics the weather suddenly go hot and humid at that time and I was really dehydrated! Been drinking a lot more H20 so in a few weeks from now, things will start to look better.
